Predatory Lending: Mixed Metaphor
Isn’t predatory lending akin to forced giving? Yes, the banking world screwed up but the political pundit title Predatory Lending is oxymoronic. This phrase is used to pit one citizen against another. Nice. Picture your politician, “banks are evil and you consumers are naive; I will save you!” And regretfully they have saved us via the Consumer Protection Agency. Feel safe?
